WHAT TO DO...WHAT TO DO...

Something for Everyone, Year-Round

We guarantee something for everyone at the Coadys' Point of View Lake Resort.

Although we're known for our spectacular fishing, our resort has so much more to offer for your entire group. Our water sports include kayaking, boating, swimming and canoeing. Bring your sailboats and wave runners for fun on the crystal clear waters of North Twin Lake. And, we have some of the best fishing in North America for musky. Walleye and panfish are also plentiful.

Located within the 650,000 acre Nicolet National Forest, POV Resort is situated perfectly for enjoying the north woods. Hunters have easy access to huge expanses of deer, grouse and small game territory. Summer mountain bikers and hikers can utilize the many miles of marked trails, or they can strike off on their own on an old logging trail. Spring offers the opportunity to surprise a doe and her fawns and to view the multitude of wild flowers.

Summer turns the forest into a carpet and canopy of green. Trout streams secretly wind through the woods. Berry picking is great. Mother nature paints her best colors near the end of September, so don't forget your camera! The beauty of winter is unmatched. Enjoy the forests and the best groomed snowmobile trails in the world. Or put on those cross country skis or snowshoes and enjoy the peaceful serenity of the forest on nearby designated trails.

We know how to do winter right, with some of the best winter sports in the nation. Eagle River hosts the World Snowmobile Championships, bringing 30.000 people to the area. Top ice fishing on North Twin Lake, snowshoeing, cross country skiing, and fat biking are just some of the pastimes you can enjoy.

In addition, Beef-A-Rama brings 12,000 people in the fall to Minocqua. Tens of thousands of people come to see the fall foliage change. 2,000 competitors compete in the Adult Pond Hockey Championships in Eagle River.

There are 56 restaurants, 6 golf courses and the Lac Vieux Desert casino within a short drive – all activities guests can enjoy for alternative fun. Zip-lining, one of the area’s most popular activities, is also close. The state’s second-largest zoo is in Minocqua. Both Eagle River and Minocqua boast a wonderful array of quality shops and dining options. Minocqua and Eagle River are also home to two of Northwood’s premiere winter parks, groomed winter wonderlands for outdoor activities.
