HOW TO CHECK IN

Know where your cabin or glamping campsite is before you get on the road - see POV Resort's map on where to go when you get here. Check in is a firm 3pm at the earliest, although you're welcome to come to the property early to use our outdoor amenities. Helpful information about the resort as well as the unit key can be found at your unit (which will be unlocked), so head straight there to relax when you arrive any time 3pm or later.

Does the resort have internet and TV?

We do have high-speed wifi available in the main area of the resort grounds around the cabins - it is spotty in the campgrounds. That being said, the resort is about relaxing and enjoying the Northwoods. The password is posted in each cabin, the Rec Room, and at various other locations around the resort.

There are TVs connected to antenna service in each cabin and the Rec Room. Rokus are also available for self-serve check-out in the rec room (by mural wall in plastic bags) to watch streaming TV from your personal accounts (ie Netflix).

The resort has an on-site general store. To order, visit www.povorder.com (for delivery or carry out) or visit in person (open on-call). The store sells bait, sundries, pantry items, frozen foods, beer/wine/liquor, ice, and firewood. For your shopping convenience, Pick-n-Save and Trigs Grocery Stores are located in Eagle River, about only a fifteen minute drive from the resort.

All firewood must be purchased on-site to ensure firewood is not contaminated with pests or diseases. We enforce all local burn bans. Please do not cut down any trees or limbs - we are trying to preserve the national forest. All our cabins and campsites have fire rings and there is firewood for sale (self-serve) at our store at the gray rec building. Each week-long cabin rental receives a complimentary bundle of firewood upon check-in.

Can I bring a snowmobile, UTV, ATV, or trailer?

Snowmobiles, UTVs, and ATVs are welcome on the property as long as they drive on designated driveways and paths. They are to be parked in designated areas to both protect the grounds as well as the septic system. Trailers are also welcome to the property and may be parked in designated parking areas.

Is the resort snowmobile, UTV, ATV, OR TRAILER friendly?

Absolutely. We are directly connected to two well-groomed snowmobile trails via a barrel-marked spur on North Twin Lake and ATV trailhead can be reached 7 minutes away. Guests are encouraged to bring their own vehicles or have some delivered (concierge service provided through the resort via a third party) - no fuss no muss! We do ask all vehicles stay on driveways (to both protect the grounds as well as the septic system), are parked in designated areas, and keep to a 5mph speed limit. Trailers are also welcome to the property and may be parked in designated parking areas.

Is the resort RV-friendly and have hookups?

We have purposely kept our campsites rustic to minimize disturbing the woods - we took down as few trees as possible to keep the forest intact. Camping at POV isn't typical Northwoods seclusion - our campsites are cozy but not on top of each other. We feel the amenities on-site and the beauty of the forest and surrounding area more than make up for the snug nature of the campgrounds. With this goal, there isn't enough turnaround for most RVs, travel trailers, and boat trailers in the campgrounds in this BYOTent campsites. Generators are only allowed if they have silent technology to keep the sound to a minimum for all guests of the campgrounds. We allow for *SMALL* campers in Campsite 6, and the lengths of campers in these campsites should not to exceed 25 feet (due to small turn radius).

Do the luxury tents and vintage campers have heat, light and power?

Yes - We are serious about the glam in camping at POV.

Our glamping units all have Mr. Heater Portable Heaters. You can either bring your own 1 LB propane canisters or buy them at our store. One canister is usually what is needed overnight. All glamping units must be ventilated during use of the heaters. A carbon monoxide detector provided. The luxury tents also have LED lights and Power Stations included in the rental rate - these Power Stations can charge phones, laptops, fans, COPD machines, and other low-powered appliances, etc. Our vintage campers have power able to provide electricity to small, low-powered appliances, lights, etc.
