Came up for a fall weekend for sone father-son time with my teenage son. It was everything a north woods trip should be. The property and cabin were beautiful. The crisp fresh air and quiet of the lake were a perfect setting for some bonding time. The Coady’s couldn’t be any nicer. We’re trying to find a weekend to get up again this fall.

Our family and extended family has been coming to this resort for 30 plus years. We were a bit nervous about the drastic changes (campers, higher costs, charges for former freebies, furniture changes, )and wondered if this would be our last year. The new owners, Genevieve and Darren have done a fantastic job with the renovations and additions ; and cabins are clean and comfy. The newly rolled back prices with discounts available for returning customers seem reasonable for this very family friendly lake resort. The rec room/office/general store was the perfect spot to hold our annual fish fry and pot luck. Darren’s father Patrick was very helpful providing extra tables and chairs for us, and thanked us afterwards for our cleanup job. This year our family rented Units 1,2,3,4,9,and 13. With some early departures and late arrivals, some 35 family members from WI, MI, and MN were able to enjoy being together. Next year Unit 8 will be part of our group as well. Thank you Darren, Genevieve, Patrick, and Marti ( with an “I”). We are looking forward to seeing you the first week in August, 2020!

Great Family Vacation

Our week at POV Resort was a fantastic experience! The lodging was updated, clean and comfortable. While the lake (and related activities) are the star of the show, there are other things for kids to do, regardless of the weather. We are already looking forward to our return!

Have been bringing my family here for 25+ years. Was a little apprehensive with the price increase, but understood infrastructure needed work. Worried the new camping addition would affect things, but it was not an issue. New owners are young and very willing to listen. They have a big job, and seem to be keeping it the gem it always was. They even allowed my traditional fireworks show at the beach with no hesitation. Anyone who knows our show knows, these are gracious hosts. Look forward to year 26!

Family fun week

New owners are awesome! New upgrades we just what was needed. We had our annual family gathering again here with 4 units and all were neat, clean and comfortable. Nice trails for long walks, weather was great for swimming on the clean sandy beach, and boating was all great. The added grocery store is so handy with a great variety. Everyone had a fantastic week. Looking forward to next year.

Jen and Darren definitely thought of everything to help make your stay welcoming, relaxing, and fun!

We stayed for a full week at POV. The owners, Jen and Darren are very kind and accommodating. Communication with them is easy and they are quick to respond. The resort itself is beautiful and quaint. The owners have done a lot of updates inside the cabins with new flooring, bedding, furniture, and appliances. The cabins were clean and spacious. The resort grounds are well maintained. There is plenty to do at the resort itself as there is a sand volleyball court, a playground area, basketball court, and the kids’ recreation house. The lodge offers another great hangout with the pool table and a couple of arcade games. The general store came in extremely handy as well. It pretty much has everything you would need in case you forgot something. For those bringing their own boat, there is a boat launch right at the resort. The beach at the resort is also clean and provides a nice swimming area.

Wonderful Location for Families

We spent a week at Coadys' Point of View Resort and all had a wonderful experience. We accompanied our son and his two little boys on their fishing trip and were all very pleased with the resort as well as the owners with their kindness and attentiveness throughout our stay. We could not have been more pleased and highly recommend them.

Coady's was just right for us!

We stayed for a week with three kids under five and Coady's was just right for us! The cabins were very clean - we felt comfortable letting our 8 month old roll around. The bathroom had a new-looking full bathtub and shower and all of the furniture and fixtures seemed brand new. The kitchen was well stocked with utensils, appliances, dishes, pots and pans. (You'll need to bring all food items including salt and pepper and coffee). No cable, but the wifi signal was strong and the TV has an HDMI port. The towels were new and fluffy and the sheets and bedding were white and crisp. (BYO shampoo and toiletries) We loved the free boats and the beautiful sand beach. It's partially shaded during the morning, which was good for the kids. Our four year old jumped off the raft for hours! There were several other families with children staying at the resort while we were there and the welcoming community atmosphere was wonderful. The hosts are friendly and helpful and the lodge was a fun place to hang out (2 large smart TVs, two new couches, pool table, arcade games, juke box, board games, Kuerig, and general store.) On site coin-op washer and dryer as well. The playground in Phelps is really phenomenal. We also went into Eagle River several times and visited the beautiful library (free library card even for out of state visitors), the movie theater, and the children's museum. (Can't say enough about the Northwoods Children's Museum for young children! Our kids were completely entranced and cried when it was time to leave.) Many cabins are two connected side-by-side, so this could be perfect for families traveling together, or an intergenerational vacation, if you like having your own space. We recommend Coady's POV!
