WHAT'S THE 411 ON THE RESORT UNDER NEW OWNERSHIP?
Can we keep our annual reservation?
Yes! We very much want to accommodate returning guests with dibs on their annual visit(s). To hold your time(s) we ask you message us ASAP as to which dates and units are "yours", and we will set the unit(s) aside for you until we receive your initial payment/deposit. We can double-check these requests with past years' bookings (which Marti provided us).
To finalize securing a hold on your dates and cabins, we ask that your 25% deposit (first payment) is received by the end of 2018, NO LATER (same as the Primich's rule). If deposits are not received by then we will re-open the dates to the general public.
What about rates?
Yes, rates are increasing to assist with the implementation of critically needed improvements to the property. We will be offering significant discounts to former and current guests of 30% off list prices (watch for our email or call us if we don't have your email) to keep prices close to that of the last year.
Why are the rates changing?
We will be doing necessary repairs to the property as well as upgrading many things on the resort in the coming months. We hope everyone enjoys the added value and appreciates that the increase is to ensure we are able to sustain the property as a family-oriented fishing resort in the Northwoods for generations to come. Bottom line, rate increases are being reinvested directly into needed improvements in the property.

What changes are being made to resort amenities?
We're building out a small general store for guests so they do not need to run into town for items needed - we want you to spend time relaxing and having fun! We are also redesigning the lounge area of the Rec Building for a common space and bathroom for guests to enjoy with new furniture and two big screen tvs. This same room will also be home to the new check-in and concierge desk for the resort. The small building near the playground will become the kids clubhouse (no adults allowed). Also added will be fourteen upscale tent and yurt sites in the wooded acres on the south side of the property. On the old ball field a pavilion will be added so campers will have a common space to convene as well as the resort to have an outdoor space to host events. Finally, added boat rentals and pop-up ice fishing hut packages will be available. New to website function are instant bookings, credit cards being accepted, and an expanded menu of information online.
What improvements are being made to the cabins?
Along with new mattresses, pillows, and hotel-grade bedding we are also including all new furniture and many new appliances - most of the cabins need new roofs, new paint, and various repairs. Bath and kitchen towels will also be provided (indoors only!). All units will have updated flooring in kitchens and bathrooms as well as fresh paint to brighten these spaces. Gas grills, improvements to firepits, and added outdoor furniture will spruce up the outdoor spaces. High-speed wifi is being furnished throughout the property. In addition, an entire new septic system was needed for units 1-12 and is being installed.
What's with the name change?
With the new era for North Twin Lodge, Darren and Genevieve wanted to name the property Coadys' Point of View Lake Resort. This name comes has a two-fold meaning - first, it is the name of the childhood home Darren grew up in in Peru, Indiana. Second, the resort property continues to the point jutting out on North Twin Lake towards the island. While the name is changing the owners' aim to keep the heart of the resort the same.
