  • GENERAL STORE ON SITE | Don't pack everything! In person walk-ins to store and online ordering - we carry bait, frozen meals, pantry items, beer/wine/spirits, other beverages, toiletries, ice, and firewood. Save that trip and to town and keep relaxing.
  • BYO TENTS, CAMPERS, RVs | We have BYOTent campsites - however, there isn't enough turnaround for most RVs, travel trailers, and boat trailers in the campgrounds (need to be 25' or less).
  • GENERATORS | Only allowed with silent technology.
  • PETS | are unfortunately not allowed in the campgrounds to keep sounds to a minimum.

POV'S MANIFESTO OF EXPECTATIONS 

While most of our guests come year after year and love this place - we don't take this for granted. But we feel it is important to set expectations ahead of time to make sure POV Resort is the right fit for you!
  • From time to time unforeseen circumstances arise, and sometimes we need to change plans. We aim to make sure if things change on our guests you will receive an equal or upgraded experience as a result. We appreciate your patience!
  • This is a resort, so there are other folks on site. We feel the amenities of being a resort outweigh being in the middle of nowhere alone. If you ever have challenges with other guests, we're happy to help.
  • POV glamping layout - We have purposely kept our campgrounds rustic to minimize disturbing the woods. Glamping at POV isn't typical Northwoods seclusion - our campsites are cozy but not as close to each other like an RV park. We feel the amenities on-site and the beauty of the forest more than make up for the snug nature of the campgrounds.
  • We are a lake resort, not a hotel. You will be sleeping in nature - it is camping (albeit with definite glamping upgrades). We provide linens for everyone (which most resorts don't), but we ask you to strip the beds. So we're trying to help guests - help us in return. Our goal - to make sure the units are so clean even Darren's mom would stay here. And she does!
  • There is no AC in the units - we're so far north its hardly ever needed. Close windows by day and open for cool air at night - nearly always does the trick!
  • We aim to be a family-friendly resort - we have a lot of amenities on-site for all ages (including adults - ya'll need to relax too). 
  • We are not a remote resort or campground (we do have neighbors beyond our 15 acres), but we are in a national forest. So on the rare occasion there will be noise. However, we feel the amenities of being a resort and being close to some super cool stuff (waterfalls?! yes, please!) outweigh being in the absolute middle of nowhere alone. We also do have quiet hours from 10pm to 8am so groups of all types can enjoy the peace and relaxation of the woods at night.
  • Our team is working hard to make sure this place is top notch - but if you ever run into an issue let us know right away so we can make it right! Our small core team does our best to get stuff done as quickly as possible. And if you have any improvement ideas let us know!
  • And last but not least, you are contractually obligated to tell us where & how you caught your fish! ;-)
