Fishing at Point of View Lake Resort

During the spring, summer, and fall months POV Resort is a beautiful wilderness retreat located on the 3,000 acre Class-A musky fishing North and South Twin Lakes. Walleye and panfish are also plentiful.

Crystal clear waters also provide expansive room for swimming, tubing, and water skiing as well as canoeing, kayaking, or paddle boarding. Horseshoes, volleyball, basketball, and on-site trails are just some of the activities offered on-site at the resort’s campus.

Some of the many activities available at POV Resort and nearby in the spring, summer, and fall months are:

Spring offers the opportunity to surprise a doe and her fawns and to view the multitude of wild flowers. May and early June boasts some of the best fishing around, including some of the best fishing in North America for musky. Walleye and panfish are also plentiful on North Twin Lake.

Summer turns the forest into a carpet and canopy of green. Our water sports include kayaking, boating, swimming and canoeing. Bring your sailboats and wave runners for fun on the crystal clear waters of North Twin Lake.

Mother nature paints her best colors near the end of September and early October, so don't forget your camera in the fall! Tens of thousands of people come to see exceptional  fall foliage. Hunters have easy access to huge expanses of deer, grouse and small game territory. Fishing is again superior - anglers abound!

Snowshoeing at Point of View Resort

A stay at POV Resort in the cold brings you to a winter wonderland. We know how to do this season right, with some of the best winter sports in the nation and where the beauty of the season is unmatched. North Twin Lake is one of the nation’s premiere ice fishing lakes - wintertime jigging in the weed beds produces excellent results. Snowshoeing (POV rentals available!) and cross-country skiing are also easily accessible - enjoy the peaceful serenity of the forest on on-site or nearby designated trails. Also within minutes of the resort are groomed indoor and outdoor ice rinks, day and nighttime sledding hills, sleigh rides, and awesome shopping in downtown Eagle River!

POV Resort is also directly on the famous snowmobile trails of the Eagle River area - some of the best-groomed trails in the nation. The resort has access to two well-groomed snowmobile trails off of North Twin Lake - the Conover Sno Buddies Trails (80+ miles) and the Phelps Snowmobile Club Trails (40+ miles). Guests are encouraged to bring their own snowmobiles or have them delivered by a third-party rental service.

Some of the many activities available at or nearby POV Resort in the winter are:

  • For snowshoeing, we do have snowshoe sets for rent (women's, men's, children's) at the resort - for more info on our rentals click here. For more options on snowshoes and other winter gear, check out the Hiker Box in Eagle River.
  • For ski rentals, we recommend Eagle Sports Center in nearby Eagle River.
  • For snowmobile rentals, we recommend Trackside or the Toy Shop, both in Eagle River. Both will deliver to the resort for a fee.
